Our fleet is well maintained and each vehicle is routinely subjected to an overhaul service after every safari and thoroughly checked again before departing for another safari by our competent mechanics and workshop staff who work around the clock to make sure all vehicles are in their best condition. Whilst we endeavor to ensure that all our vehicles offer full time running AC and 12 volts connections, the high-impact of the rugged African terrain occasionally causes these delicate mechanisms to go temporarily out of service. We do our utmost to ensure against this, we sincerely request you to understand if this occurs during your safari with us.

Why Choose Land Cruiser over Safari Van?

The difference between Land Cruiser and van is that Land Cruisers have more space inside allowing you to move more freely in the vehicle. Their engines have more power, they have bigger windows so that you get better views while sitting inside and they have better shock absorption resulting in a more comfortable ride on corrugated roads near parks. Also, the platform of the Landcruiser is slightly more elevated compared to the van so your point of view would be from a higher position in the Landcruiser.

Size: Physically the Land Cruiser is bigger. Hence it is more spacious. Road noise is slightly worse in the Safari Van.

Shade: In both cases, the roof lifts, but does not come off. So there is a bit of shade still and it can even get chilly as the breeze blows around the vehicle between the sightings (it won't be off between the parks). The sun will still be coming in through the windows no matter which vehicle you opt for.

Comfort: While the Land Cruiser is more comfortable, the Safari Van can feel a bit shaky on some stretches.

Our Recommendation

Confused about the right selection of the vehicle on the tour? Say no more, we have our recommendations based on our experience with our clients and their expectations. It is highly advised to choose a Land cruiser on any given day being the fact that Land Cruisers offer a lot more options, a better gaming viewing experience and bigger windows. If you are not on a budget constraint your go to option should be Land Cruiser. Also, choosing the vehicle hangs on the number of people in a group.

About 70% of our customers choose Land Cruisers and 30% choose vans.
