Boundary Hill Lodge

This lodge at the edge of Tarangire national park is made of wood, local stone and burnt brick giving it an elegant look snuggled atop a small cliff with granite pavements. The decor and furnishings in the lodge look rustic and in harmony with the natural colors of the surroundings.

The surrounding area is covered with trees and rock outcrops. It offers good views of Silale and Gosawa Swamps where you will find species of buffaloes and elephants along with massive baobab and acacia trees.

In addition to park fees of Tarangire national park, a statutory fees (WMA fees) of $29.5 per person per night will be applicable for staying at this accommodation.

Located outside Tarangire National Park on the northeastern edge, in a WMA or Wildlife Management Area. Tarangire gate is about 35 minutes away from the lodge. Boundary Hill gate is even closer at a distance of 25 minutes.

The lodge encompasses 8 spacious rooms. Out of them, 3 are double rooms with cast-iron baths. There is also a family room which has 2 beds (King-sized beds with Sheridan bedding).

The rooms are much loved by the guests. All have en-suite facilities with rustic interior designs. The beds are comfortable with good linen. The glass windows stretch from floor to roof, offering a good view of the plains below. They have been designed for natural cooling through the screened opening on top. Especially from the private balcony, you can watch animals such as buffaloes and elephants grazing, catch the beautiful sun rising. Some balconies have a bath where you can relax after a long day in the park.

The rooms and restaurant offer good views of the vast Tarangire savanna plains, especially since the lodge is perched atop a small cliff. Silale and Gosawa swamps can be seen where animals like elephants and buffaloes graze. Huge baobab and acacia trees are also found in the area. You can wake up during sunrise to catch the changing colors of the sky and see the plain come to life.

Good - You are in the middle of wilderness and have wildlife coming very close to camp and you might get to see wildlife from your rooms/campgrounds and most likely you can hear wildlife through the night.

The food has been given good reviews by most clients. Meals at the restaurant are a blend of continental and the occasional Swahili cuisine. Special diet menus are available on request.
