Hhando Coffee Lodge

The lodge sits in a coffee farm spanning 15 acres across Karatu. The dining room has an open fireplace where you can get cozy on chilly nights. There is also a bar with two open fireplaces. The outdoor swimming pool is great for relaxation while the gift shop has beautiful souvenirs you can buy for loved ones. One of the best parts would be the evening entertainment programs conducted by the lodge.

Located in Karatu, the lodge is just 2 minutes from Lodoare Gate, Ngorongoro.

There are 10 cottages and 3 family rooms. These are round, concrete structures with a conical roof synchronically placed inside the property. They are simple and basic but have clean, comfortable beds with mosquito nets, a fireplace, a bathroom made of local stones with en-suite facilities such as a basin and western toilet. There is a private terrace with beautiful views.

The rooms and restaurant offer calm, vibrant views of the coffee farm and Ngorongoro forest. If you are lucky enough, you may see elephants, baboons or water buffaloes in the forest.

Moderate - You are not in the midst of wilderness but can see a portion of the forest meaning the amount of wildlife around the camp is not quite high and you might not get to hear them through the night on all days.

The food has been rated okay by most clients. It is not too good, not too bad.
