Sanctuary Tambarare

Located inside Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Sanctuary Tambarare is nestled in the shadows of Mt Kenya. Overlooking a watering hole, you are surrounded by teeming wildlife. Opened just a year back, the camp is new and fresh. The staff is eager to attend to your needs and make you feel most welcome. All the tents are connected via mud pathways and there is a main lounge and dining area serving sumptuous meals.

Located on the eastern edge of Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Nanyuki is the closest airport at a distance of 30 minutes drive.

There are 10 large tents and a new private two-bedroom villa. They provide clean & comfortable beds, a work desk, vanity area, a separate seating area, an en-suite bathroom having slippers, robes, hair dryer and shower kit.

The private villa has two en-suite bedrooms, indoor as well as outdoor dining area & lounge, private deck and bar. It is constructed in a boutique-meets-bush design.

Single and double rooms are available.

You are surrounded by indigenous trees and a watering hole which is often visited by wild animals such as giraffes.

Good - You are in the middle of wilderness and have wildlife coming very close to camp and you might get to see wildlife from your rooms/campgrounds and most likely you can hear wildlife through the night.

The food has been rated well by most clients.
