Tarangire Simba Lodge

The tented lodge is a buffer zone between Tarangire national park and the nearby villages. It has a viewing platform to see the wildlife passing through, drinking from the water hole near the lodge. There is a huge baobab tree in one corner to emulsify true African feels. Guests here enjoy taking a dive into the swimming pool after a long day.

In addition to park fees of Tarangire national park, a statutory fees (WMA fees) of $29.5 per person per night will be applicable for staying at this accommodation.

Located just outside western Tarangire national park in the Wildlife Management Area, the property is 10 minutes drive away from the new Sangaiwe entrance gate to Tarangire.

The classic canvas safari tents are situated permanently under thatch, and are constructed on platforms complete with wooden floors, with a large en-suite dressing room, toilet and shower. Additionally there is an outdoor shower and each tent has a private veranda. Furnishings are handcrafted from African hardwood complimented with tastefully selected fabrics, electricity and hot water are solar powered. Also there is a safe to keep your valuables.

There are 16 classic canvas safari tents consisting of twin beds, queen beds and triple beds. There is also a family tent with two queen sized beds.

The rooms offer expansive views from the glass doors and windows. The private deck outside offers beautiful views of sunset and you might catch a glimpse of wild animals such elephants, waterbucks, giraffes etc coming very close to your rooms or drinking water from the nearby watering hole. The common area, swimming pool and elevated wooden deck near the pool also offer equally good views. Lake Burunge can be partially seen from the property.

Good - You are in the middle of wilderness and have wildlife coming very close to camp and you might get to see wildlife from your rooms/campgrounds and most likely you can hear wildlife through the night.

Most clients have given good feedback about the food. You get breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner with a wide variety of options. Continental food is served at the restaurant. And you can get fresh fruits and vegetables with local ingredients. Also, there are special diet menus.
