Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge

This lodge is located at the edge of Ngorongoro crater rim with wonderful views of the crater floor down below. It is camouflaged by river stones and indigenous vines. The buildings are connected by timber walkways. There is a restaurant offering amazing food, a hiking trail you may explore nearby, a spa and evening entertainment programs to make your stay a much loved one.

In addition to park fees of Ngorongoro national park, a statutory fees (Concession fees) of $59 per person per night will be applicable for staying at this accommodation.

The lodge is just a 45 minute drive to the entrance gate, Lodoare.

There are two types of rooms in the lodge:

Standard Room The room features African style interior decor with amenities such as a clean comfortable bed (twin or double), en-suite bathroom, safe, work station, children’s beds/babysitting and a private stone balcony with wonderful views.

Kimba Suite The room features a clean comfortable king-size bed, mosquito net, en-suite stone bathroom, dressing area, tastefully decorated seating area, telephone, mini-bar, TV, 24 hour room service, a private balcony, and wine, fruit laid out to welcome guests.

There are suites with twin and double accommodations available.

The lodge offers amazing views of the crater floor which is abundant in its numerous wildlife species, especially from the private balconies and the outdoor deck below the restaurant. The sunset views are much adored by guests. You might find animals such as elephants coming close to the rooms.

Good - You are in the middle of wilderness and have wildlife coming very close to camp and you might get to see wildlife from your rooms/campgrounds and most likely you can hear wildlife through the night.
