Tarangire Baobab Tented Camp

Baobab Tented Camp is located in a secluded area with a backdrop of indigenous baobab trees and wildlife species such as elephants which Tarangire is most prominently known for. With fine interior decor and great palette of distinct dishes being served here, it makes for an unforgettable experience. An evening sundowner below a huge baobab tree on the camp's property is much loved by guests, especially the honeymooners.

In addition to park fees of Tarangire national park, a statutory fees (Camping fees) of $59 to $71 per person per night will be applicable for staying at this accommodation.

Located inside the northern end of Tarangire national park, the tented camp is a 40 minutes drive away from the main entrance gate.

All the rooms offer en-suite facilities with a separate bathroom having cubicles for toilet, shower and sink. You also get hot water. The beds are spacious and clean, protected by mosquito nets. There is a table, desk and wardrobe in every room. You can relax and enjoy the surrounding views from the tented veranda.

There are a total of 10 tented camps which consist of singles, doubles, triples, and a family room.

Waking up to the chirping of bireds, you might come across different wildlife species such as giraffes, leopards, wild dogs etc might be seen and heard even through the night. The most interesting part would be the elephants coming near the lodge to drink from the groundwater tank up above. You can relax and enjoy the views while having a drink in the tented veranda. The sunrise and sunset views are especially magical.

Good - You are in the middle of wilderness and have wildlife coming very close to camp and you might get to see wildlife from your rooms/campgrounds and most likely you can hear wildlife through the night.

Most clients have given a good review on the food being served. It is a mixture of western and authentic Tanzanian cooking. There are 3 course meals for dinner and plenty of variety for breakfast. You also have the option of having your dinner around the fireplace outdoors.
