Elephant Bedroom Camp

Located on the banks of Ewaso Nyiro River in Samburu National Reserve, Elephant Bedroom Camp is elegantly designed using vibrant Maasai colours. Eloquently sitting under Doum palms and other indigenous trees, it offers an enigmatic safari experience pertaining to its large viewing decks and comfortable seating areas. If the weather permits, you may enjoy a continental style ‘al fresco’ near Ewaso. You may also opt for private dining on your deck or a fine dining experience at the restaurant. If you are looking for an immersive experience, you will be flabbergasted by the dry plains being cut through by Ewaso while Mt Kenya sits in the backdrop and shines upon the various wild animals roaming the grounds. Interestingly, you may get to pet the local impalas or catch glimpses of the Gerenuk gazalle here.

Located outside Samburu National Reserve to its southeast, the tented camp is only 30 minutes drive away from Samburu airport.

There are a total of 14 tents decorated using traditional African designs. They offer clean & comfortable beds, en-suite bathrooms with hot/cold water and complimentary herbal bath products, seating area, private plunge pool and an outdoor deck offering excellent views.

Single, double and triple rooms are available.

You might get to see wild animals such as elephants, baboons, giraffes and monkeys from the main viewing deck as well as your own private balconies. You will also get wonderful views of the nearby river.

Good - You are in the middle of wilderness and have wildlife coming very close to camp and you might get to see wildlife from your rooms/campgrounds and most likely you can hear wildlife through the night.
