Mbalageti Serengeti

Located atop Mwamveni hill in the Western corridor of Serengeti plains, the lodge may be entered from Naabi gate which is approximately 3 hours away. An even shorter distance is taken from Ndabaka gate at a convenient distance of 1.5 hours. The drive itself is a wonderful experience as it is taken through untrodden wilderness. Inside the property, you may relax in the lounge/dining area bearing bright undulating spaces, dive into the swimming pool or sit around the evening campfire.

In addition to park fees of Western Serengeti national park national park, a statutory fees (Concession fees) of $59 to $70.8 per person per night will be applicable for staying at this accommodation.

The lodge is just 45 minutes away from Kirawira airstrip.

The rooms offer clean & comfortable beds, en-suite bathroom, flashlight, walking stick, mineral water and whistle. In addition to the amenities stated above, read on to know more about the different room types.

• Lodge Room These standard rooms are placed inside a block. The bathrooms come with a shower. The private veranda is great for enjoying the surrounding views. These are best suited for budget travelers.

• Tented Chalet These semi-tented rooms are covered with a local black wall on one side. With wooden flooring and an African bush theme, there are 12 rooms on both the sunrise/sunset side of the hill. The bathrooms have a bathtub and shower. Some verandas also have a separate bathtub. In addition to the amenities mentioned above, the suites offer bathrobes, binoculars, umbrellas and a safety deposit box.

• Exclusive Family Suites There are two interconnected rooms with a dining area and TV lounge. In addition to the amenities mentioned above, the suites offer slippers, bathrobes, binoculars, umbrellas, satellite TV and a safety deposit box.

• Delux Luxury Suites These spacious suites come with additional amenities such as slippers, bathrobes, binoculars, umbrellas, satellite TV and a safety deposit box.

• Lodge Room These can accommodate twin, double beds.

• Tented Chalet Twin, double and triple rooms are available.

• Exclusive Family Suites One room has a king size bed while the adjoining room has twin beds.

• Delux Luxury Suites Triples are not available.

You will get amazing views of the Mbalageti River and the vast Serengeti plains. The sunrise/sunset views with the frequent distant glimpses of wild animals are much loved by guests.

Good - You are in the middle of wilderness and have wildlife coming very close to camp and you might get to see wildlife from your rooms/campgrounds and most likely you can hear wildlife through the night.
