Severin Safari Camp

Located in Kitani Wildlife Area of Tsavo West National Park, Severin Safari Camp is perfect for a long stay. Decorated with warm colours and traditional African furniture, it promises a tranquil experience with different categories of spacious guest rooms suitable for your needs. A nearby watering hole allows distinct species of wild animals to quench their thirst. In par with safety measures, Maasai warriors stand guard and escort you to or from your rooms as the property is unfenced.

For conducting organizational meetings or family events, the 80 sqm Baraza conference tent can accommodate up to 30 guests.

We suggest that you visit places such as Roaring Rocks, Poacher’s Lookout, Rhino Springs, Mzima Springs, lava caves, Chaimu crater as well as Chyulu and Taita Hills while staying here.

Located inside Tsavo West National Park, the lodge is just a 30 minute drive from Kilaguni and Finch Hattons airstrips. These are linked with daily scheduled flights from Mombasa and Nairobi.

Luxury Tent: There are 21 octagon tents with thatched roofs and canvas walls providing clean & comfortable beds, mosquito nets, en-suite bathroom facilities with cold/hot shower and a bidet, a safe, 220V electricity, wifi, hair dryer and an outdoor seating area. Centrally located tents are offered to those with walking disabilities.

Junior Suite: The stone masoned suites namely Roaring Rocks, Shetani Cave, Chyulu Hills and Mzima Springs offer a king bed, en-suite bathroom having hot/cold water, a toilet, shower, two basins & bidet, tea/coffee making facility, minibar, living room, a courtyard having outdoor shower and a sun deck with loungers. Executive Suite: Raised on wooden platforms, Mawenzi and Kibo are spacious suites made up of thatched roof and canvas. They have a cozy king-sized bed, a bathtub in the corner, a minibar, tea/coffee making facilities, a safe and a terrace offering good views. There is an adjoining tent which can be booked for large groups of friends or family.

Kitani Banda: There are 8 bandas equipped with a) 5,7 sqm bathroom having hot/cold running water, shower and toilet. b) 25 sqm rooms with clean & comfortable beds and mosquito nets. c) a 4,5 sqm kitchen offering cutlery, pots, fridge, cookers, sinks and gas. Chairs and a table are also set up. Additionally, there is a private fireplace which looks over your roofed veranda. Note: Guests may access the pool, Wifi and gym at the camp located close by. You also have a room steward to make your stay more enjoyable. It is located at a distance of approximately 1.5 km from Severin Safari Camp.

Luxury Tent: Double beds are offered.

Junior Suite: King-sized beds are available. There is a foldable bed and couch which can be used by children or as a family room.

Executive Suite: King-sized beds are available. The adjoining tent can be booked for families.

Kitani Banda: Each cottage can accommodate up to 3 beds.

The tented lodge offers amazing views of Mt Kilimanjaro and Tsavo savannah. You might catch a glimpse of wild animals such as elephants, zebras, wildebeests, jackals and giraffes in the nearby watering hole.

Good - You are in the middle of wilderness and have wildlife coming very close to camp and you might get to see wildlife from your rooms/campgrounds and most likely you can hear wildlife through the night.
