Tarangire Tortilis Camp
Tarangire Tortilis Camp is a tented camp located deep within Tarangire national park and has large canvas rooms offering a great glamping experience. The camp is situated between four Baobab trees, overlooking expansive wetlands. Visitors often witness the awe-inspiring sight of elephants grazing in the surrounding grasslands. The camp aims to become entirely female-run in future, and to achieve this, it has already employed women staff members.

Location
Located at the central region of Tarangire national park, it takes about 75 minutes to reach the tented camp from the main entrance gate.
Staying at Tarangire Tortilis Camp
There are king-sized beds with enough space for an extra one. Twin beds are also available. The family room has extra bunk beds with an extended bathroom that can accommodate 5 people.
Consisting of standard suites as well as family suites, the tents provide en-suite facilities. The rooms are clean and the sheets are fresh. The bathroom has a toilet, sink and shower with hot water. In addition, there is a dressing table, wooden chairs, towels, toiletries and watered bottles. At the entrance, there is a front room with sofa and chairs for catching the views outside.
Views
You might get amazing views of the sunset from the tented accommodations. The dining area/ main tent located in the middle of the other guest tents also offer incredible views of the large plains and wetlands. The main highlight is the huge baobab trees. You might hear big cats like lions roaring through the night. Elephants and giraffes are often seen from the camp.
Surrounding wilderness level
Good - You are in the middle of wilderness and have wildlife coming very close to camp and you might get to see wildlife from your rooms/campgrounds and most likely you can hear wildlife through the night.

The food has been rated good by most clients. There are good varieties of dishes being offered. It has both international and local African cuisines. They also cater for special requirements like vegetarian, vegan, gluten free, dairy free, lactose free, paleo, and diabetic sides.
