Maramboi Tented Lodge

Located on the eastern end of Lake Manyara, the lodge is surrounded by beautiful palm trees. It overlooks the famous Rift valley and Lake Manyara. There is a swimming pool where you can relax and enjoy the beauty of vast, golden plains.

In addition to park fees of Tarangire national park, a statutory fees (WMA fees) of $29.5 per person per night will be applicable for staying at this accommodation.

Bordering Tarangire national park and Lake Manyara, the lodge is located in a Wilderness Management Area (outside the park) at about 2 hours 40 minutes distance from Tarangire/Lake Manyara airstrip.

There are 44 suites which include 4 family suites with interconnected rooms.

The rooms are constructed on raised wooden platforms with a private bathroom as well as a deck. There is good spacing between and inside the rooms. The beds are clean and comfortable. Hot water is available. You can also opt to drink from the water cooler.

The sunset view from the private deck is spectacular. You might get to see animals such as zebras, warthogs, impalas, monkeys, wildebeests and many more moving close to the rooms. Giraffes and certain species of gazelles may be a bit far away but viewable. You are also bound to hear hyenas at night.

The restaurant and swimming pool area also offer good views of the wildlife and the African bush surrounding the area. The palm trees stand out in the region.

Good - You are in the middle of wilderness and have wildlife coming very close to camp and you might get to see wildlife from your rooms/campgrounds and most likely you can hear wildlife through the night.

Food has been given good reviews by most clients. There is much to select from. Look out for the happy hour where you can drink beside the pool with snacks!
