Itinerary

Day 1: Mombasa/Diani to Tsavo West

Begin your journey with an early morning departure from Mombasa or Diani. You will be picked up from your Mombasa or Diani hotel at 7:30 AM and proceed to Tsavo West. The drive to Tsavo West takes approximately 5 to 5.5 hours, covering a distance of about 260 km. Enjoy the changing landscapes as you travel from the coastal region to the rugged terrain of Tsavo West National Park. Upon arrival, check into your selected lodge or camp and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, set out for your first game drive in Tsavo West. The park is known for its dramatic landscapes, including the Shetani Lava Flow, Mzima Springs, and more. Keep an eye out for elephants, lions, leopards, and a variety of bird species.

After an exciting afternoon of wildlife viewing, return to your accommodation at around 5:30 -6 PM and frshen up. Enjoy your freshly prepared dinner and a relaxing evening.

Day 2: Tsavo West to Tsavo East

Start your day with a morning game drive in Tsavo West, exploring more of the park’s unique features and wildlife. After breakfast, check out and begin your journey to Tsavo East National Park. The drive takes about 2 to 2.5 hours, covering a distance of approximately 101 km. Arrive in Tsavo East around midday and check into your lodge or camp. After a leisurely lunch, you can relax before heading out for an evening game drive. Tsavo East is renowned for its vast open plains and large herds of elephants, often covered in the park’s distinctive red dust.

As the sun sets, return to your accommodation at around 6 PM for dinner and to unwind for the evening.

Day 3: Full Day in Tsavo East

Your third day is dedicated to exploring Tsavo East with full-day game drives. After an early breakfast, set out to discover the park’s diverse wildlife, including elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and buffaloes. The Galana River, which runs through the park, is a great spot for birdwatching and offers a chance to see hippos and crocodiles. Enjoy a packed lunch in a scenic location within the park before continuing your afternoon game drive. Tsavo East is also famous for its vast savannah landscapes and the iconic Yatta Plateau, one of the world’s longest lava flows.

Return to your lodge or camp in the evening at aroun 5:30- 6PM and frshen up. Enjoy your delicious dinner and stay at lodge.

Day 4: Tsavo East to Mombasa/Diani

On your final day, enjoy a morning game drive in Tsavo East to catch any wildlife you may have missed. After breakfast, check out of your accommodation and begin your drive back to Mombasa or Diani. The journey takes approximately 3 to 3.5 hours, covering a distance of about 164 km. Arrive back in the early afternoon, concluding your memorable safari experience. You’ll be dropped off at your hotel or onward destination, marking the end of your adventure in Tsavo.

Payment Policy

Deposit Payment
- Deposit is 50% of the total booking amount.
- Deposit can be paid either via a bank transfer or an online card payment.
- A 5% fee is applicable on all card payments (payment gateway charges). This is non-refundable.
- We offer bank accounts in 10 different currencies for bank transfers.
- Once you make the deposit payment you will receive a booking confirmation.

Balance Payment
- Balance can be paid via bank transfer, online card payment or with cash
- Bank payment can be done 15 days prior to the tour date (recommended 30 days prior)
- Card payment can be done 1 day prior to the tour date (recommended 7 days prior)
- A 5% fee is applicable on all card payments (payment gateway charges). This is non-refundable.
- Cash can be paid on arrival (US Dollars printed in or after the year 2009)

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy
- 120 days before departure date: 5% of the tour amount is charged as cancellation fees
- Within 119 to 90 days before departure date: 10% of the tour amount is charged as cancellation fees
- Within 89 to 60 days before departure date: 20% of the tour amount is charged as cancellation fees
- Within 59 to 31 days before departure date: 30% of the tour amount is charged as cancellation fees
- Within 30 to 0 days before departure date: 50% of the tour amount is charged as cancellation fees

Note 1: In all refund cases, card processing fees (5%) or wire transfer ($25) fees will be deducted.

Partial Cancellation Policy
- If the group size reduces, the above cancellation policy applies to the canceling clients.
- In addition, the price per person for remaining clients might change as applicable based on the new group size.

Note 2: Our cancellation policy may differ for some packages based on the accommodations included, particularly for E3, E4, and E5 packages, to match the respective accommodation providers’ policies.
