Day 2 (January 29, 2026) - Kibale National Park (Chimp Tracking & Bigodi Swamp Walk)

Lake Bunyonyi

In January, Lake Bunyonyi, Uganda typically experiences warm and relatively dry weather. The average temperatures range from about 15°C (59°F) during the night to around 25°C (77°F) during the day. This period is part of the dry season, so rainfall is less frequent, although sporadic showers can still occur. Humidity levels are usually moderate, contributing to the overall pleasant climate. The landscape is lush and vibrant during this time, making it a beautiful period for visitors.

Kibale

In January, Kibale, Uganda typically experiences warm weather with relatively low rainfall compared to other months. Average daytime temperatures usually range from 24°C to 30°C (75°F to 86°F). Nighttime temperatures are cooler, often dropping to around 15°C to 18°C (59°F to 64°F).

January is part of the dry season, so you can expect more sunshine and less humidity, making it a favorable time for outdoor activities like trekking and wildlife viewing. Rainfall averages during this month are generally lower, with occasional showers possible but not as frequent as in the wetter months. Overall, January is considered a pleasant time to visit Kibale.
