Itinerary

Day 1 - Mombasa/Diani to Amboseli

Your journey starts with an early morning pickup from you Mombasa or Diani Aiprot/ Hotel at 7:30 AM. The drive to Amboseli National Park will take approximately 7.5 to 8 hours, covering a distance of 451 km. As you travel through the diverse landscapes of Kenya, you’ll experience the changing scenery from coastal plains to the rolling hills leading to Amboseli. Upon arrival, check into your lodge or camp and enjoy a relaxing lunch. In the afternoon, embark on your first game drives in Amboseli. The park is renowned for its breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa (depending upon the weather), and for its large elephant herds, including the famous big tuskers. As you traverse the park, you’ll have the opportunity to spot a variety of wildlife, including lions, cheetahs, buffaloes, and giraffes.

After the afternoon game drives, return to your accommodation at around 5:30- 6PM, freshen up and enjoy your dinner and an evening of relaxation at your lodge.

Day 2 - Full Day Game Drives at Amboseli

Your second day in Amboseli is dedicated to exploring the park with full-day game drives. After an early breakfast, set out to discover the park’s diverse habitats, from its swamps and marshes to the dry lake beds. The clear morning skies often provide the best views of Mount Kilimanjaro, so be sure to have your camera ready. Amboseli is famous for its elephants, and you’ll likely encounter large herds moving through the park, as well as a variety of other animals, such as zebras, wildebeests, and hyenas. Enjoy a picnic lunch in a scenic spot within the park before continuing your exploration.

In the evening, return to camp at arounf 5:30-6PM and freshen up followed by dinner that will be served at your accommodation.

Day 3 - Morning in Amboseli and Return to Mombasa/Diani

On your final day, start with an early morning game drive to catch the wildlife as they begin their day. The morning is an excellent time for spotting predators like lions and cheetahs, as well as enjoying the serene beauty of the park. After the game drive, return to your lodge or camp for breakfast. Once you’ve packed up, check out from camp & begin your journey back to Mombasa or Diani, with the drive taking another 7.5 to 8 hours. Along the way, you’ll have the chance to reflect on the incredible experiences and wildlife encounters you’ve had in Amboseli. You’ll arrive back in Mombasa or Diani in the late afternoon or early evening, concluding your unforgettable safari adventure.
