In January, Akagera, Rwanda typically experiences warm and humid weather. Historical averages indicate daytime temperatures usually range from about 27°C to 32°C (81°F to 90°F). Nights tend to be cooler, with temperatures dropping to around 15°C to 19°C (59°F to 66°F).
January falls within the short rainy season in Rwanda, so there may be occasional rain showers, but they are usually not very heavy. On average, you can expect about 100mm to 150mm of rainfall throughout the month, with several days experiencing some precipitation. Humidity levels can be quite high, contributing to a tropical feel in the region during this time.
