This itinerary includes Nairobi to Lake Nakuru(1N), famous for its pink-hued flamingos and as a sanctuary for black and white rhinos; and Maasai Mara National Reserve(3N), Kenya’s premier safari destination, renowned for big cat sightings and the Great Migration(July-October), before ending the safari at Isebania.

This itinerary includes Isebania to Central Serengeti(2N), a haven for big cats and varied wildlife; Ndutu(2N), for the calving season (last week of December-March) of the Great Migration and high predator activity; Ngorongoro Crater(1N), renowned for its breathtaking views and high wildlife density; and Tarangire National Park(1N), known for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees, before ending the safari in Arusha.

Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi to Lake Nakuru

Depart from Nairobi in the morning and drive approximately 3.5 to 4 hours (157 km) to Lake Nakuru National Park. After arriving and checking into your lodge, enjoy lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru is renowned for its rhinos, and diverse birdlife. Return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and relaxation.

Day 2: Lake Nakuru to Masai Mara

After breakfast, drive 5 to 5.5 hours (250 km) to Masai Mara National Reserve. Arrive around midday, check into your accommodation, and have lunch. In the afternoon, embark on your first game drive in the Masai Mara, famous for its stunning landscapes and abundant wildlife, including the Big Five. Return to your lodge for dinner and a restful evening.

Day 3 & 4: Full Day Game Drives in Masai Mara

Itineraries for these days are flexible, you can discuss your plan with your guide one day before. You can leave at 7:30 AM after having breakfast and spend the entire day exploring Masai Mara with full-day game drives. With a packed lunch, traverse the reserve’s diverse terrains and enjoy excellent wildlife sightings, including the Great Migration if you’re visiting during the migration season. After a day filled with wildlife encounters, head back to your lodge for dinner and unwind.

Day 5: Masai Mara to Isebania Border

Enjoy your breakfast at the lodge. Afterward, drive 3.5 to 4 hours (150 km) to the Isebania border with a packed lunch.

Day 1 - Isebania to Central Serengeti

Upon completing your immigration formalities at the Isebania border, our guide/driver will meet you around 11:00-11:30 AM. The journey from the Isebania border to Central Serengeti takes approximately 4.5 hours.

Along the way, you'll have the opportunity to view picturesque villages and lush farmlands before entering the Serengeti National Park. You will have the opportunity to enjoy lunch at Ikoma Gate while your guide finalizes the park entry formalities. As you traverse the park, you'll enjoy en-route game drives, with your arrival at the accommodation expected between 5:00-5:30 PM. The day concludes with a hearty dinner and a restful night at your accommodation.

Day 2 - Central Serengeti

Begin your day with a leisurely breakfast before setting out for a full-day game drive around 8:00 AM. Equipped with a packed lunch, you will explore the central Serengeti and return to the lodge in the late afternoon, around 5:00 PM.

Alternatively, embark on an early morning game drive at 6:00 AM. After returning to the lodge for breakfast, enjoy some relaxation before heading out for an afternoon game drive, with a packed lunch provided.

Your exploration will take you through the Central Serengeti, particularly the Seronera area, known for its rich wildlife habitat and the Seronera River, which draws a diverse array of species (Three of the big cats: Lions, Cheetahs, and Leopards. Other predators like hyenas, wild dogs, wildcats, caracals, etc. And other animals like elephants, buffalos, and giraffes). This region is famed for its large lion prides and offers exceptional game viewing opportunities year-round.

You can enjoy your meal at a scenic picnic spot at your preferred time and continue exploring the central Serengeti.

The day will conclude around 5:00 PM, followed by a hearty dinner and a restful night at your accommodation.

Day 3 - Central Serengeti to Ndutu

After an early breakfast, embark on a morning game drive in Serengeti National Park, immersing yourself in its vibrant wildlife. Around noon, you will depart for Ndutu, with a picnic lunch provided for your journey. The drive begins with a scenic route through the Serengeti, where you may encounter gazelles and impalas. Before exiting the Serengeti and entering the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoy a picnic lunch at Naabi Hill Gate. You can also take a short hike to the top of the hill for breathtaking views of the Serengeti plains.

As you progress, you enter the Ndutu region which is the North-western part of Ngorongoro Conservation Area, on the outskirts of the Southern Serengeti Plains. This region is characterized by expansive grasslands that gradually blend into the Serengeti. As a crucial waypoint in the annual migration route of over 2 million wildebeests, along with thousands of zebras, antelopes, and gazelles, Ndutu offers exceptional opportunities to witness the great migration from late December to April. From mid-January to February, the calving season attracts numerous predators preying on the vulnerable young wildebeests. Additionally, Lake Ndutu and Lake Masek, vital water sources, draw a variety of wildlife, especially during the dry season.

Ndutu is also renowned for its diverse population of big cats, including leopards, lions, cheetahs, caracals, servals, and wildcats. Your exhilarating game drive will conclude in the early evening, around 6 PM, followed by a hearty dinner and a restful night at your accommodation.

Day 4 - Ndutu

Today offers a full day to delve into the rich wildlife and stunning landscapes of Ndutu. You can start your day with a leisurely breakfast before setting out for a comprehensive game drive around 8:00 AM. With packed lunch boxes provided, you can immerse yourself in the beauty of the region throughout the day, returning to the lodge in the late afternoon around 5:30 PM.

Alternatively, you might opt for an earlier start by departing after breakfast at 6:20 AM for a morning game drive. After enjoying the early hours of wildlife viewing, you will return to your accommodation around 10:30 AM. This allows you time to relax and savor a hot lunch before embarking on an afternoon game drive at 3:00 PM. You will return to the lodge by 6:00 PM.

Whichever option you choose, ensure to take advantage of the opportunity to rest and recharge, preparing yourself for another exciting day of exploration and adventure.

Day 5 - Ndutu to Ngorongoro

Today presents another opportunity to immerse yourself in the enchanting wildlife of Ndutu. You can begin your day with breakfast at your accommodation before embarking on a game drive. A packed lunch will be provided, allowing you to enjoy a leisurely meal at a picturesque picnic spot amidst the stunning landscape.

Alternatively, you may choose to start with breakfast followed by a morning game drive. After returning to your lodge for a hot lunch, you can continue with additional game drives before departing Ndutu around 3:00 PM.
Following your departure, we will transfer you to your accommodation in Ngorongoro or Karatu. The journey takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours, with an anticipated arrival between 5:30 and 6:00 PM, where you will enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 6 - Ngorongoro Crater Tour (5 Hours) to Karatu/Tarangire

You will start early with a quick breakfast before descending into the Ngorongoro Crater around 6:30 AM (you might reach Crater floor by 7:00 AM if you sleep in Karatu the previous night). The Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest collapsed volcanic caldera, encompasses approximately 260 square kilometers of pristine natural beauty. Surrounded by a ring of extinct volcanoes, the crater floor, which is adorned with various watering holes, supports a diverse population of around 25,000 animals. With depths exceeding 2,000 feet, this remarkable caldera offers a unique and breathtaking landscape.

A 5-hour game drive on the crater floor offers a chance to see diverse wildlife, including African elephants, buffalo, black rhinos, hippos, hyenas, cheetahs, and lions. Keep your camera ready to capture the action. After a picnic lunch at the scenic Hippo Pool, you will begin your ascent out of the crater.

Following the ascent, we will transfer you to the accommodation of your choice, where you will enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 7 - Transfer to Tarangire for game drives till afternoon. Transfer to Arusha in late afternoon and end of tour

On the final day of your safari, after breakfast, you will embark on a 2 to 2.5 hour drive to Tarangire National Park. Upon arrival, you will enjoy a half-day game drive in this renowned park, known for its iconic baobab trees and the Tarangire River, which attracts some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. In addition to elephants, you may encounter lions, leopards, cheetahs, lesser kudus, buffalo, oryx, eland, giraffes, and zebras.

By mid-afternoon, you will depart for Arusha which is about 2 to 2.5 hour drive, where you will be dropped off at your preferred location by approximately 5:30 PM. As your safari comes to an end, you will reflect on an incredible experience and numerous cherished memories before bidding farewell to your team.

Central Serengeti

In February, the Central Serengeti in Tanzania typically experiences warm temperatures and is part of the wet season. Historical averages show daytime temperatures ranging from 27°C to 30°C (81°F to 86°F), while nighttime temperatures can drop to around 15°C to 17°C (59°F to 63°F).

February often sees increased rainfall compared to other months, with averages ranging from 50 mm to 100 mm (about 2 to 4 inches) throughout the month. The lush vegetation and availability of water during this time provide good opportunities for wildlife viewing, as many animals are calving and young animals can often be seen. Despite the rain, there are usually dry periods that can allow for good safari conditions.

Ndutu

In February, Ndutu, Tanzania typically experiences warm and dry weather as it falls within the wet season. Historical averages indicate daytime temperatures usually range from around 24°C to 30°C (75°F to 86°F), while nighttime temperatures can drop to about 15°C to 18°C (59°F to 64°F).

Rainfall in February can vary; it’s generally a wetter month compared to the preceding months, with average precipitation around 50 to 100 mm (2 to 4 inches). Humidity levels are usually higher due to the increased likelihood of rain. Overall, February is a vibrant time in Ndutu, as the landscape is lush and wildlife activity tends to peak during this period.

NCA

In February, NCA (Ngorongoro Conservation Area) in Tanzania typically experiences warm and dry weather. Average temperatures during this month range from about 12°C (54°F) at night to around 26°C (79°F) during the day.

Rainfall is generally low, as February falls within the dry season, but occasional short rains can occur. Humidity levels can be moderate, and the area may also experience some morning mists. This weather is conducive for wildlife viewing, as animals are more active during the dry season.

Masai Mara

This tour starts & ends at Arusha with road transfers between all locations. Central Serengeti is the farthest location you will be visiting in this tour and it is 7 hours from Arusha, each way. To save drive time, you can directly fly into Central Serengeti where your safari vehicle with guide will be waiting to directly start the safari and cover other parks over the next few days making your way to Arusha by road on the last day. We will reroute the itinerary such that you cover all the parks included in the original itinerary with the same choice of accommodations & same number of nights as included in the original itinerary. This is called a Fly-in Safari

We can also reroute the itinerary such that you start with driving from Arusha on day 1 and cover other parks before you drive to Serengeti. We end the safari tour at Central Serengeti on the last day from where you can fly out to Ausha (or other cities). We will reroute the itinerary such that you cover all the parks included in the original itinerary with the same choice of accommodations & same number of nights as included in the original itinerary. This is called a Fly-out Safari.

Payment Policy

Deposit Payment
- Deposit is 50% of the total booking amount.
- Deposit can be paid either via a bank transfer or an online card payment.
- A 5% fee is applicable on all card payments (payment gateway charges). This is non-refundable.
- We offer bank accounts in 10 different currencies for bank transfers.
- Once you make the deposit payment you will receive a booking confirmation.

Balance Payment
- Balance can be paid via bank transfer, online card payment or with cash
- Bank payment can be done 15 days prior to the tour date (recommended 30 days prior)
- Card payment can be done 1 day prior to the tour date (recommended 7 days prior)
- A 5% fee is applicable on all card payments (payment gateway charges). This is non-refundable.
- Cash can be paid on arrival (US Dollars printed in or after the year 2009)

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation Policy
- 120 days before departure date: 5% of the tour amount is charged as cancellation fees
- Within 119 to 90 days before departure date: 10% of the tour amount is charged as cancellation fees
- Within 89 to 60 days before departure date: 20% of the tour amount is charged as cancellation fees
- Within 59 to 31 days before departure date: 30% of the tour amount is charged as cancellation fees
- Within 30 to 0 days before departure date: 50% of the tour amount is charged as cancellation fees

Note 1: In all refund cases, card processing fees (5%) or wire transfer ($25) fees will be deducted.

Partial Cancellation Policy
- If the group size reduces, the above cancellation policy applies to the canceling clients.
- In addition, the price per person for remaining clients might change as applicable based on the new group size.

Duration - 11 days

This itinerary includes Nairobi to Lake Nakuru(1N), famous for its pink-hued flamingos and as a sanctuary for black and white rhinos; and Maasai Mara National Reserve(3N), Kenya’s premier safari destination, renowned for big cat sightings and the Great Migration(July-October), before ending the safari at Isebania.

This itinerary includes Isebania to Central Serengeti(2N), a haven for big cats and varied wildlife; Ndutu(2N), for the calving season (last week of December-March) of the Great Migration and high predator activity; Ngorongoro Crater(1N), renowned for its breathtaking views and high wildlife density; and Tarangire National Park(1N), known for its large elephant herds and iconic baobab trees, before ending the safari in Arusha.
