This itinerary includes Murchison Falls National Park (1N), known for spectacular waterfall views and classic Big Five game drives in Uganda’s largest park, with a boat cruise; and Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda where visitors can track wild rhinos on foot in a secure conservation setting, for rhino tracking, before transferring back to Kampala.

Itinerary
Day 1 - Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park (Boat Cruise)
You will be picked up around 6:00 am from Kampala (or Entebbe) and then depart for Murchison Falls National Park which will take around seven hours of driving. You will be passing through beautiful woodlands and Savannah grasslands.
On arrival, you will have your lunch and have a rest. In the afternoon at 3:00 pm you will go for a boat cruise on the placid Victoria Nile, upstream, to the base of the falls. En route, you will see hippos, crocodiles, waterbuck and a wide variety of birds like the unusual shoe-bill stork. The boat stops just tens of meters from the “Devil’s Cauldron” for pictures to be taken of the photogenic and majestic Murchison Falls.
Day 2 - Murchison Falls National Park to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary (Rhino Tracking) to Kampala
You will wake up very early and set off at 6.30am for a sunrise game drive in the Nyamsika plateau to see the Cape buffaloes, Rothschild’s giraffes, Uganda kob, hartebeest and waterbucks. You may also spot oribi, bushbuck, Bohor reedbuck, shy sitatunga, bush duiker, warthog and bush pig plus large carnivores including lions, leopards and spotted hyenas. Crocodiles and hippos will be seen along the banks of the Nile. Some of the more common birds that can be seen include goliath heron, Egyptian geese, pelican, bee-eaters, kingfishers, hornbill, cormorant, saddle-bill stork and the rare shoebill stork.
You will return to your lodge for a late breakfast /early lunch and then drive to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to witness the rhinos in the wilderness for a couple of hours.
Have some relaxation and later transfer to Kampala (or Entebbe).

In January, Murchison Falls, Uganda typically experiences warm and dry weather. Average daytime temperatures range from about 25°C to 30°C (77°F to 86°F), while nighttime temperatures can drop to around 15°C to 20°C (59°F to 68°F).
