Uganda cancellation and refund policy

General cancellation policy (All tracking permits):

  • 91 days before the adventure date - 30% of the total permits cost will be charged as the cancellation fees.
  • 46-90 days before the adventure date - 50% of the total permits cost will be charged as the cancellation fees.
  • 9-45 days before the adventure date - 70% of the total permits cost will be charged as the cancellation fees.
  • 0-8 days before the adventure date - 100% of the total permits cost will be charged as the cancellation fees.

Important note:

  1. Permits are non- refundable.
  2. To reschdule a permit there will be a minimum of 25% charges of the permit amount. This is based on the reason and depends on the number of days prior to the adventure date.

General cancellation policy (Accommodation, activities, parkfees & Guiding charges):

  • 60-90 days before the adventure date - 10% of the total tour price will be charged as the cancellation fees.
  • 30-60 days before the adventure date - 20% of the total tour price will be charged as the cancellation fees.
  • 5-30 days before the adventure date - 30% of the total tour price will be charged as the cancellation fees.
  • 0-5 days before the adventure date - 50% of the total tour price will be charged as the cancellation fees.

Please Note: In all refund cases, card processing fees (5% on the amount paid by card) will be deducted.

General amendment policy (Accommodation, activities, parkfees & Guiding charges):

  • 45 days or more before departure date: Credit voucher* for full deposit will be issued.
  • Within 45 to 25 days before the departure date: 10% of the tour amount will be charged as cancellation fees and a credit voucher for the remaining deposit will be issued.
  • Within 25 to 10 days before the departure date: 20% of the tour amount will be charged as cancellation fees and a Credit voucher* for the remaining deposit will be issued.
  • Within 10 days before the departure date: 30% of the tour amount will be charged as cancellation fees and a Credit voucher* for the remaining deposit will be issued.

All credit vouchers are non-refundable and will have a validity of 12 months from the original date of departure.

Covid19 amendment policy:

  • One week (7 working days) or more before departure date: If new covid19 related travel restrictions are put either in the client's country of residence or Uganda within 30 days of the client's arrival or if clients test positive for covid19 we will review with our accommodation partners on a case by case basis and offer credit voucher* However, this is at the discretion of Monkey Adventures and its accommodation partners
  • One week (7 working days) or less than a week before departure: 20% of the tour amount will be charged as cancellation fees and a credit voucher* for the remaining deposit will be issued
  • An official doctor’s note (verified, stamped, and signed) and proof of residency will need to be supplied to claim a full credit voucher within 30 days of the tour's starting date.

All credit vouchers are non-refundable and will have a validity of 12 months from the original date of departure.

In all refund cases, card processing fees (5% on the amount paid by card) will be deducted. All Credit vouchers are transferable to friends and family.
