Kitela Lodge

This lodge in Karatu is on the hillside of a valley overlooking a waterfall and a coffee plantation. It has been constructed in the style of old colonial farms and cottages. There is a lounge, restaurant and terrace in the main building. The outdoor swimming pool and spa are great for relaxation. The gift shop here presents eccentric souvenirs which you may buy for your loved ones back home.

The lodge is run on solar power with a generator as backup.

The lodge is just a 30 minutes drive from Lodoare gate of Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

The chalet type rooms (20) are spacious with clean & comfortable beds, mosquito nets, mineral water, room service, tea/coffee maker, phone, a bathroom with shower and a private balcony with wonderful views.

There are standard rooms with the capacity of 2-3 guests and interconnected rooms with 3-5 guests.

The private balconies in every room offer stunning views of the coffee plantation and garden. You also get good views of Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will get equally good views from the restaurant, lounge and terrace. The sunsets are much loved by the guests. The surrounding farm has its own calm, local charm.

None - This accommodation is not in the wilderness so do not expect to see/hear any wildlife during your time at this place.

The food has been rated well by most clients. It is prepared using local farm produce.
