Country Lodge

Situated in the center of the farming community and North Tanzania’s green belt district, Karatu, the lodge sits amidst five acres of landscaped land, inside panoramic coffee plantations and northern highlands, surrounded by rolling hills which reach up to the Ngorongoro forest and coffee plantations of Oldeani.

The main building has a reception area with a high ceiling bar, a lounge with fireplace to get warm on cold nights, a dining room, and an outdoor seating area. There is an outdoor swimming pool for rejuvenation, a gift shop for buying souvenirs, and a massage parlour for relaxation.

Located in the outskirts of Karatu, places like Lake Eyasi and Lake Manyara national park are easily accessible for day trips. Ngorongoro crater is 20-30 minutes from the place.

There are 12 cottages with comfortable beds and soft lighting, a work desk, bedside tables, mosquito nets, a separate seating area, fireplace, bathroom made of local stone, solar hot water, a dressing area, and a private veranda with an extensive view of the garden.

There are twin, double and triple occupancy accommodations available.

The rooms offer spectacular views of the garden. There is a lawn to rest upon. You can also see the swimming pool. You will find birds happily chirping. There is an outdoor seating area in the dining room wherein you can relax and breathe fresh air whilst enjoying the greenery.

Moderate - You are still in the wilderness but the amount of wildlife around the camp is not quite high and you might not get to hear them through the night on all days.

The food has been rated well by most clients with innumerable variety of dishes available.
