Basecamp Masai Mara

Located on the banks of Talek River outside Maasai Mara National Park, Basecamp Masai Mara is a gold rated eco-friendly tented camp which offers an authentic mid-range camping experience. The staff is friendly and accommodating. However, it is suggested that you make all your payments at the reception before departure. Refrain from handing it over to the staff.

Other than the guest tents, there is a restaurant wherein you may enjoy sumptuous meals while enjoying views of the river. The gift shop is great for buying souvenirs to be taken back home. Do not miss out on Enjoolata Awareness Centre wherein you can be a part of movies, exhibitions, photo editing or have an interactive session with the Maasai as you dive deeper into their culture.

Located outside Maasai Mara National Reserve to its east, the tented camp is just 3 minutes drive away from Talek gate.

There are a total of 17 tents placed on the banks of Talek river. They offer utmost comfort with amenities such as clean & comfortable beds, en-suite bathrooms having two solar heated showers and bio-flush toilets, and a private deck overlooking the national reserve. The family tents feature two double bedrooms with a shared bathroom and a larger balcony.

Single, double and triple accommodations are available. Two doubles make a family room with shared bathroom.

The camp offers amazing views of the Talek river and the vast savannah. You might find warthogs and baboons nearby.

Good - You are in the middle of wilderness and have wildlife coming very close to camp and you might get to see wildlife from your rooms/campgrounds and most likely you can hear wildlife through the night.
