Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge

Located on the eastern rim of Ngorongoro crater, the lodge has been designed to resemble circular African households with conical roof structures. There is a reception area, lobby & lounge, restaurant and a bar, all adorned with traditional African settings and handcrafted items. There is a lawn with an outdoor swimming pool to relax after a long game drive. You will also find a gift shop to buy souvenirs for loved ones.

In addition to park fees of Ngorongoro national park, a statutory fees (Concession fees) of $59 per person per night will be applicable for staying at this accommodation.

The lodge is just an hour and a half away from Lake Manyara airsrip.

There are 97 rooms including a wheelchair accessible room and 5 interconnecting rooms with two queen size beds available in every room.

The rooms offer clean and comfortable beds, central heating system to keep you warm during the night, en-suite bathroom with shower, tea/coffee making facilities and an enclosed solarium offering beautiful views.

Brightly coloured pathways with different species of flowers and shrubs on both sides welcome you into the room. The lodge offers amazing views of the crater floor which is abundant in its numerous wildlife species, especially from the solarium in every room. You might find animals such as zebras coming close to camp.

Good - You are in the middle of wilderness and have wildlife coming very close to camp and you might get to see wildlife from your rooms/campgrounds and most likely you can hear wildlife through the night.
