Ngorongoro Crater Lodge

The lodge is located at the edge of the crater rim with wonderful views of the crater floor down below. It has an abundance of wildlife species. The property is divided into three sections with a dining area, lounge and washroom in each one. The living room and dining area are sophistically decorated with Rococo and African artwork. In addition, there are outdoor fire pits, walking paths and a gift shop.

In addition to park fees of Ngorongoro national park, a statutory fees (Concession fees) of $59 per person per night will be applicable for staying at this accommodation.

The lodge is just 1 hour 40 minutes drive to Lodoare entrance gate of Ngorongoro.

There are twin rooms, double rooms and a family room accommodating 2 adults plus 2-3 children.

There are a total of 30 rooms. You will see an amalgamation of ruby, silver and golden interior designs in colonial style. You will comfortably rest on chairs made of leather, aesthetically adorned with plump cushions, antiques and silk curtains in the background. The beds are large and comfortable, bathrooms provide en-suite facilities such as a bathtub/shower, safe, telephone, seating area, indoor fireplace and a private deck overlooking the crater floor.

The lodge offers amazing views of the crater floor which is abundant in its numerous wildlife species such as the Big Five (buffaloes, elephants, lions, black rhinos and leopards), wildebeests, zebras, warthogs and many more.

Good - You are in the middle of wilderness and have wildlife coming very close to camp and you might get to see wildlife from your rooms/campgrounds and most likely you can hear wildlife through the night.
